I just chilled for most of the day and Beryl is engrossed in her book. Around 1630 we headed 15 miles up the road to Catfish Johnny’s for supper. We both had the broiled seafood platter. We wanted to try the gator sampler but they were out of gator. By the time we left people were waiting to get in. The special for the night was all the catfish you could eat with fries and coleslaw for $12.95
Now back to the Ringling Museum. The following pictures are from the Circus museum which was established in 1948.
Some wood carvings
John & Mable’s private car
The Human cannon
Various Circus Wagons
The Ticket Wagon. Note how high the 3 ticket window are. This was so the customers could not see the money in the wagon.
Generator wagon – A lot of places where the circus setup had no power.
Several Midway posters.
That’s it for today. Tomorrow we will have the Tibbals Learning Center and The Howards Bros Circus Model.
Thought For The Day – Sarcasm is a literary device used for identifying the stupid
