We were up a little after 0800 and took our time geting ready to go. We dumped the tanks and got everthing else ready including a picture of Green Acres most famous resident. We were headed south on I-95 a little after 1100. About 5 miles down the road it started to rain. It rained on and off for about 2/3 of the trip. We stopped at the Georgia Welcome Center to get some brochures for the Woodbine Area. However most of the brochures were advertisements and not for Historical places. We stopped at the Flying J at Exit 29. Diesel fuel in Georgia was $.16/gallon higher than it was in NC. We arrived at Walkabout Camp and RV Park around 1500hrs.
This park has 40 fairly open and level grass sites. They are probably about 2/3 full and accept Passport America for up to two weeks. This means your site is half price. The park was purchased earlier this year by a young Aussie couple who moved to the US in 2006.
Yes the pool is open. It was 70F here this afternoon.
After getting settled in we went hunting for food. We ended up at Sonny's Bar-B-Q. We each had Pork 3 Ways and have enough left overs for another meal.
Tomorrow we will do some site seeing.
